It will soon be free to post and read reviews on Angie’s List. The consumer-driven business review site is changing its paid, members-only format. This is big news for businesses! Currently, to view any reviews of businesses, customers have to be paying members of the site. According to the company’s CEO, the members-only restriction causes 90% of the site’s 100 million monthly views to bounce.
So imagine: millions more views of your reviews and your business. Makes you want to make sure what’s posted is positive – and what isn’t positive is resolved quickly.
The change means consumers and businesses will have the ability to browse listings, ratings, and reviews free of charge. Extra features, possibly privately responding to negative reviews and blocking competitor ads, will be available at an extra charge
This change in gears will first focus on home services (contractors, plumbers, electricians etc.) in order to really establish the wants and needs of both the user and consumer; they will then look to roll out other markets.
What this means for DAS costumers:
Digital Air Strike clients can really leverage Angie’s List’s new “open” format as it’s one more place where your happy customers can share their feedback publicly. It’s also one more site that should be monitored for any negative reviews – something we do for our thousands of clients on daily.
