You may have read our previous blog about Instagram’s upcoming changes including the addition of business profiles. Another new feature that will benefit businesses is analytics!
Instagram’s analytics will be called “Insights” and will include information about:
• User locations (country, city, state)
• Follower demographics (gender and age)
• Top posts – thumbnails of all posts ranked in order of impressions
• Website clicks – tracking clicks from URL’s included in a profile
This new access to data will help businesses have better insight into when to post, what demographic to cater to, what type of posts are getting the most interaction, and how many users visited the profile link.
Instagram has yet to confirm the exact launch date, but from what we’ve seen from its parent company, Facebook, new features will be rolled out in separate phases to groups of users.
Digital Air Strike will be monitoring the upcoming release and will send out a notification once it is live. For all active clients with an active Instagram page your Client Advocate will review analytics during your strategy meetings.
