Culture is the Backbone of DAS Technology

The culture at DAS Technology is essential to the company and is why many people seek to work at DAS. We strive to provide fun, healthy activities for 160-plus employees (and growing) across the U.S. through our employee-led DASVentures group.

Throughout the year, our DASVentures team organizes over 50 events, averaging four monthly events, including community impact projects, team building, and corporate events. DASVentures has seen a 100% increase in team member participation points over the previous year. DASVentures’ team members have continued encouraging participation through monthly newsletters, calendar invites, social media posts, email reminders throughout the year, and healthy team participation competitions.

Our employees’ mental and physical well-being has been even more critical over the past few years. We have continued providing safe online and in-person activities to keep the culture and connectedness alive for our local and remote employees across the US.

Activities over the past year have included:

  • Step Challenges
  • Blood Drives
  • Bowling nights
  • Happy hours
  • Baking and salsa competitions
  • Bring Your Dog to Work Day (with doggie parade and portraits)
  • Cornhole Tournament
  • Participation in the annual Pat’s Run, honoring fallen Army Ranger and professional football player Pat Tillman
  • Summer Camp for remote team members
  • Father’s Day Barbecue

DASVentures also organizes opportunities to give back to local, national, and international nonprofits every month. We adopt nonprofits near and dear to employees’ hearts and provide ways to donate items, cash, or volunteer hours. DAS donated more than $2 million in cash and goods, with over 250 volunteer hours, just within the last year.

DAS hosted its first cornhole tournament in 2023.

Our team members are also regularly encouraged to participate in physical activity check-ins, wellness coaching, various health missions, and biometric screenings through UnitedHealthcare’s Rally program to earn annual monetary awards. Our team members can earn up to $200 a year through the Rally program and earn an extra day off by completing a health challenge, such as losing weight to be healthier and learning productive ways to manage stress.

Along the way, we’ve received some notable recognitions:

  • Certified as a Great Place to Work for the sixth consecutive year. Top statements from the survey include 99% saying it’s a physically safe place to work and 98% saying employees are treated fairly regardless of their sexual orientation and race
  • Ranked as the Best Media Workplace Culture in Arizona in AZ Big Media’s Ranking Arizona lists
  • Fortune Magazine ranked DAS among the Best Workplace in Advertising & Marketing on its national list

We are incredibly proud to share that 62% of our employees were promoted in 2022. Our employees grow their careers at DAS; many have been with the company for over ten years. There are many opportunities to move up through your department or move to another department once you gain new skills.

Employees are encouraged to go above and beyond in their daily jobs, helping others and our clients. Team members can nominate and win “Whatever it Takes” awards to recognize their efforts. The nominations are announced on the company’s active internal Facebook page so everyone can see the great work they did. Eight winners are then chosen every month for the award, and winners get $250, a trophy, and a chance to go on our President’s Club trips.

One of the best perks at DAS is the opportunity to attend the annual President’s Club trip. While many companies provide this trip for the sales team only, DAS allows the entire company to either earn or win their way to attend. Top performers from every department have a chance to go, along with ways to win the opportunity to go through an annual drawing. A last-minute chance to win has employees entering the Pack Your Bags drawing, where two women and two men with bags packed are chosen to go, flying off either that day or the next day on the all-expenses-paid trip. Past trips have included trips to Mexico, Hawaii, and London.

We provide many benefits for our team members, including no-cost pet insurance, stock options, home purchase assistance, monthly half days, and student loan reimbursement. New benefits include free health care options, increased dental benefits for adult orthodontia, and expanded life insurance.
