SAVANNAH, GA – Officials of the Club Car Championship at The Landings Golf & Athletic Club announced today the details surrounding the event’s 2023 Executive Women’s Day presented by Hancock Askew & Co. and Bank of America. The celebration of the power and accomplishments of women in Savannah, GA, and beyond, takes place on Friday, March 24 at The Landings Golf & Athletic Club.
Georgia native, active member in communities across her home state, and current regional vice president at Georgia Power, Audrey King will deliver the keynote speech, following an opening Fireside Chat with Carol Yancey (retired EVP/CFO Genuine Parts Company), representing Hancock Askew & Co.; Marci McGregor, Senior Investment Strategist, Chief Investment Officer, Bank of America; Alexi Venneri (Digital Air Strike), representing Club Car; and a representative of the United States Military. A panel discussion will close out the inspirational event, featuring: Jennifer Abshire, CEO, Abshire PR; Kendria Lee, Deputy Chief of Staff, Georgia Southern University; Dawn Morgan, President, Collins Construction Services, Jay Neely, VP Law & Public Affairs, Gulfstream Aerospace; and Abby Wolfe, VP Commercial Banking, Queensborough National Bank and Trust. The meaningful discussion will be moderated by the event’s emcee, Brad Harmon, a managing partner at HunterMaclean.
Executive Women’s Day presented by Hancock Askew & Co. and Bank of America will include an event-themed merchant marketplace and lunch. ABOUT KEYNOTE SPEAKER AUDREY KING
Georgia Power’s Board of Directors elected King as vice president of the company’s South Region in September of 2021. In this role, King has direct responsibility for the company’s external activities for customers across a 62-county area that includes Savannah, Valdosta, and Albany.
King has held various positions over more than 30 years in customer service, sales, distribution and external affairs at the company.
King believes community service is an important aspect of her leadership role. She currently serves on the board of the State Housing Trust Fund for the Homelessness and Department of Community Affairs, the Savannah Area Chamber of Commerce, Union Mission, Inc., Savannah Technical College, and the advisory board for BankSouth. Previously, she was a member of United Way Executive Board, Homebuilders Association, Valdosta North Rotary Club Past-President and Honorary Commander for Moody Air Force Base.
Her other leadership opportunities have included working with the South Georgia Military Affairs Council, One Valdosta- Lowndes (co-chair), Valdosta Rotary Club, Valdosta State University & Clayton State University Foundation Board, Wiregrass Technical College (trustee), Valdosta Chamber of Commerce (chair elect), Citizens of Georgia Power (volunteer), South Georgia Medical Center Foundation Board and Corporate Giving (committee chair), Fort McPherson Local Redevelopment Authority Board as well as Education Reform Commission (appointee) for the State of Georgia.
A native of Macon, Georgia, King holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Troy University. Additionally, she is a graduate of Leadership Lowndes, Leadership Savannah and Leadership Georgia.
