Digital Air Strike™’s Venneri is honoured at gala

A gala celebration in Detroit last week recognized Digital Air Strike’s co-founder and CEO Alexi Venneri as one of the 100 Leading Women in the North American Auto Industry.

Other 2015 honourees include Mary Barra, CEO of General Motors and Dianne Craig, President and CEO of Ford Motor Company Canada.

The list of the industry’s top female executives is published once every five years by Automotive News. This year’s honourees come from 54 companies and 14 disciplines, ranging from CEOs to engineers, dealer principals to designers. They are engaged in such disciplines as design, engineering, finance, information technology, management, manufacturing, assembly plant management, purchasing, quality, safety and sales.

This year’s list of women who have significant influence in their companies reflects improvement in the status of women in the industry in the past five years according to the publication. The 2015 list includes six CEOs; in 2010 there were two. The number of honorees with executive officer titles, or who own their companies, is up from 63 to 73.

“I am truly honoured to be named among this list of 100 women who are leading the automotive industry,” said Venneri, in a written release. “And I’d like to thank all of the manufacturers, the hundreds of dealer groups and over 2,000 individual dealership clients that see value in how we help them monetize social media while improving the buying experience for consumers.”

Venneri received more accolades this week at the Governor’s Celebration of Innovation in Scottsdale, Arizona, where she won the Ed Denison Business Leader of the Year Award, recognizing an individual entrepreneur who pioneered and runs a successful technology business.
