There are many adjectives that could be used to describe each of the Most Influential Women in Arizona Business for 2021. Intelligent. Inventive. Independent. But also, supportive.

“What gives me the most pride is seeing those I have led, mentored or coached – especially those in the next generation of workers – flourish into the best versions of themselves,” says Latasha Causey, vice president of human resources for Bell Bank. “All the phone calls, what-ifs and connections have helped them succeed both personally and professionally. Doing my small part in helping them gives me confidence in our future.”

Creating and utilizing those connections has never been more important than it was during the COVID-19 crisis.

“The pandemic made me realize how important staying connected with people is,” says Christine Ferrell, vice president of private banking for Enterprise Bank & Trust. “For some time, we did not have the opportunities to see friends, family or clients in person like we normally would. Making the connections even though not in person really helped me understand that to be a good friend, family member and leader, you have to be present. You have to be creative in how you go about forging and maintaining relationships.”
